Probus Day 10th October 2025







60 Members from 10 Gold Coast Clubs gathered at Paradise County Parklands, Nerang for the Annual Probus Day . 2 course spit roast lunch was enjoyed by all with plenty of food available
The theme of the day was "Spring" and everyone decorated their tables with a prize for best going to Ashmore Benowa
Several fun games such as Egg and spoon and the peg challenge were great fun with all clubs mixing and getting involved.
There were lots of lucky door prizes donated by GC&NR and from local venues
Tweed River Cruise 19th September 2025






50 Probus Members from various Gold Coast Clubs enjoyed a wonderful relaxing day travelling from Coolagatta along the Tweed River. The Captain gave a great Commentary covering the regions history and world class
eosystem that forms part of UNESCO world Heritage Gondwana Rainforest
Wonderful views from the river, bird watching and pelicans a Stotts Island Nature Reserve, Dophins met us on the return journey.
After boarding morning tea was served before a Grazing Board Lunch, with a selection of local produce including prawns.
Cruise company "Tweed Eco Cruises very professional with excelant staff gave us a special experience. Very relaxing trip and thoroughly enjoyed by all

Pohlmans Nursery 29th August 2025
Leaving the Gold Coast early on a beautiful sunny morning 57 Probus Members from 11 Gold Coast Clubs travelled to Pohlmans Nursery at Gatton

After all had been on the tour and purchased plants, we made the short trip to the Royal Hotel in Gatton for lunch. Members had a choice of meals which were ready when we arrived. Good comments on the quality of the lunch. "one of the best we have had."


After a quick morning tea at Apex Park members proceeded to The Nursery. Some went on the tractor for a behind the scenes tour while others checked out the retail nursery

Christmas in July
30th July 2026
Following the success of this event in 2024 it was again held at the Arundel Tavern
Over 100 Probarians from 11 Gold Coast Clubs attended the Lunch


A traditional hot Lunch of Ham and Turkey with plum pudding and assorted desserts.


Many of the members dressed in Christmas attire which added to the fun of the day.

Many Lucky Members went home with a present from the Gift Table.
Medieval Abbey
Caboolture 20th June
Early morning departure for a full bus of members from 13 Gold Coast Probus Clubs traveling to Caboolture for a visit the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology



Members were given a tour of the Chapel and heard about the history of the lovely old stained glass windows some dating back to 14oob.c. and how they came to be at the Abbey






Always time for a bit of shopping
Members enjoy a good cup of tea and coffee before a visit to the Archaeology Museum.Art Gallery and lovely gardens
Members getting to know a resident of the Abbey prior to travelling to the Bribie Island Bowls Club for lunch and refreshments before returning home.
29th May 2025 Naughty Little Kids Farm
60 Members from 10 Gold Coast Probus Clubs were in the group to travel to Peaks Crossing where they were met by the owners and invited to look around while they enjoyed morning tea.



With the weather a little uncertain member sat under cover to hear about the goats, Dorper Sheep and Guardian dogs Maremmas kept on the property. Members were than given the opportunity to samplng the goat cheese and also learnt about the difference between Gelato and ice cream


Some Members got very friendly with the Kids
Members then traveled to the Commercial Hotel in Boonah for lunch and refreshments. Unfortunately the Hotel did not serve coffee so members ventured out to find coffee and Ice creams.
Very heavy rain made for a long homeward trip. Even though the weather was unsettled Members still had a very pleasant outing.
30th April 2025 Nimbin

This trip, a full bus of 58 Probian from 10 Gold Coast Clubs teft early to travel south to Nimbin and Uki.

First stop and a chance to mingle and morning tea at a lovely shaded park in Uki before visit to Nimbin Candles.

We than travelled Nimbin Candles for a quick demomstration on how they make some very different colourful candles. Of course some members could not resist buying some to take home


We were entertained by an impromptu piano duo by a local and one of our own Probians playing some "old tunes"

Travelled a short distant to the township of Nimbin with a chance to stroll and enjoy some very different shops.
Quite an experience

After leaving Nimbin we returned to Uki for a 2 course lunch of choice and refreshments at the Mt Warning Hotel.

It was a lovely day and Members once again returned to the Gold Coast after a great day out


56 Probarians from Clubs across the Gold Coast joined the 1st Mystery Tour for 2025. They travelled to popular Canungra for Morning tea and for some a quick visit to the "Shoe Shack" then it was back on the bus to our Mystery Destination
Mystery Bus Trip 21st March


After a short distance we arrived at Albert River Wines at Eagleby, a country wedding Venue as well as a distillery.
2 historic Homes have been restored and open for tours, tastings and lunches.


Members were given a tour of the
Historic homes as well as the chapel by Yvonne who also gave a sheep dog demonstration with the help of her mischievous Kelpie


Everyone then returned to Auchenflower House for a 2 coarse lunch and some fine refreshments before returning home via a short stop at Tamborine Mountain Gallery Walk.
