29th MAY 2026 Trip to Guang Shan Buddhist Temple Priestdale


After a week of inclement weather finally a fine day for Members from 9 Gold Coast Probus Clubs to travelled to Priestdale North East of Logan to visit Guang Shan Buddhist complex. Members from Pimpama Club joined the group for the first time

Members were given a short introduction to Buddhism by one of the Buddhist Nuns before exploring the beautiful gardens and building.
Many enjoyed a tea or coffee at the teahouse.



At the completion of the tour member were back on the bus for a short trip to Springwood and lunch at the Brisbane Lions AFL Club.
There were a few Members who climbed the many steps to discover the gardens beyond
Once again Members enjoyed lunch with some refreshments and chance to catchup before returning home

17th April trip to Tommerups Dairy
followed by lunch at The Club Beaudesert.
Not quite a full bus but a good representation from 13 Gold Coast Probus Clubs traveled to Tommerups Dairy Farm at Kerry in the Scenic Rim. A family run 6 Generation dairy farm loaded with history.





Every good bus trip starts with a morning tea stop. This time it was in Canundra where some members took the chance to visit some of the popular shops

Members have a change to taste the Jersey Girl icecream produced on the farm. Made from their own cream and flavoured with local products.
Verdict: BEST ICE CREAM EVER!

Mystery Bus Trip 20th March 2026





58 Members from 9 Gold Coast Clubs were kept guessing till the last minute about the destination of the Mystery Bus trip.
Destination: Thomas Brisbane Planetarium. Very few members had ever been and some unaware of its existence.
Exploring the wonders and memorabilia from past space voyages. Members were impressed with the visit and many expressed desire to
return for the special presentations available.
Then travelled short distance to Mt Cootha to take in the spectacular view of Brisbane and beyond.

Some took the opportunity to sample the ice cream and other treats at the cafe
Members then travelled to Gaythorne RSL for a well deserved drink and lunch and a good chat before returning home to the Gold Coast.
COMBINED LUNCH BOARDWALK TAVERN HOPE ISLAND 20TH FEBRUARY 2026







Over 60 members from 8 Gold Coast Probus Clubs combined to enjoy a friendly informal lunch st Boardwalk Tavern Hope Island. A good change to meet members from different clubs and to share some of the plans for 2026.
